i am an african american woman and my hair breaks often, i use relaxers once a month i would like stronger healthier hair any advice or tips or products i should use?
Typically your hair when clean should be slightly oily. Chemicals can break down the proteins and make the hair dry and brittle causing it to break. Try some warm olive oil or pure vitamin e oil . Leave it on 5-10 minutes then wash with 'gentle' shampoo with no ammonium laureth or laurel sulfates. Ammonium acts a stripper and it dries the scalp too. So if its in your shampoo, its stripping your own hair oils too.
