why am i so hairy ? ?

im a woman in my early 20's and im very hairy. all of a sudden my bodys hair has grown a bit more. i have some on ebery single part of my body. i have a lot of facial hair. that has grown since my teen yrs i hate the fact that i have to wax if i dont want to deal with it but im not getting into the hassel of doing that weeekly . why has my body hair been growing will it ever stop. i mena i dont have inches of it but enough to see it close up. its ruining my self esteem.
is there any medication that will stp the growth of body hair? i dont want lotions or waxes

PCOS questions?

Would love to hear from some women with some knowledge on this condition.
I was diagnosed about a year ago, after an ultrasound presented enlarged ovaries with small abrassions.
The doctor put me on the pill to help regulate me. it did for 3 months, then my period came 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks etc. each very painful and heavy. I've just finished my course and unlike what the doctor said im still not regular. The doc said i'd be much better after 6 mths on the pill?? my hair growth did reduce. Im getting stabbing pains alot.
Im starting to think my doctors not that great. i started a low carb diet and lost 23 kilos in 4 mths. im 59 kilos and 5 10", seems unusual for PCOS?
Im worried about being able to have children with my condition, i would like be pregnant in the next 2 years. Does it take longer to fall pregnant with PCOS? should i be on special medication, what are my options? I guess rather get serious about it now then leave it till later.

First of all, sounds like you are thin, but a decent percent of PCOSers are thin (I am). I think you need to see a doctor who specializes in endocrine disorders (an endocrinologist), or if you're wanting to get pregnant soon you should see a reproductive endocrinologist. Both of these specialists should be well-versed in the management of PCOS. PCOS is thought to be caused by a degree of insulin resistance, and this is treated with a drug called Metformin. PCOS can't be cured, but it can be managed. Many women with PCOS have difficulty getting pregnant, but most can eventually with the right help. Low-carb diet is a good idea, and that along with Metformin does help some people obtain regular cycles. I, unfortunately, still am not regular, and don't ovulate on my own, so I am working with a reproductive endocrinologist to induce ovulation with medication, which has worked twice (though I'm not pregnant yet).
