Choosing a costume to win a prize at a costume party?

For a Halloween costume party I swapped some clothes with a female friend and it was a big hit. We are going to a big costume party at new year where there will be prizes for the best outfits. She thinks it would be a good idea to go in reverse again but really go all out for the costumes and try to look totally convincing as the opposite sex. She wants to wear a tuxedo and have me wear a skimpy black dress and high heels and have all the accessories, wig, make up, jewellery. Do you think I should do it, it sounds like it could be funny but quite hard work. If so can you give me advice on how to make the costume really good, and if not can you give me a better suggestion!

i am not a big fan of cross dressing but afterall its a costume party, that suggestion seems good.

Rated: PG13Synopsis: Clothes make the superspy in this high-energy action comedy. Jimmy Tong (Jackie Chan) is a well-meaning but clumsy New York City cab driver who is tapped by Steena (Debi Mazar), associate to multi-millionaire Clark Devlin (Jason Isaacs), for a new job as Devlin's personal limo driver. After a mysterious accident lands Devlin in the hospital, Tong learns that his new boss has a secret — when he's not wheeling and dealing in high finance, Devlin is also a secret agent for the CSA, a top-level security agency. The secret to Devlin's success as a spy is his trademark tuxedo, a suit which is loaded with special gadgets which turns him into a high-tech fighting machine. After Tong dons the tuxedo and is transformed into a martial arts master, he takes over for Devlin and discovers that the agent's injuries didn't happen by accident. As Tong tries to chase down a handful of international super-villains bent on world conquest, he has to deal with Devlin's new partner, Del Blaine (Jennifer Love Hewitt), a CSA rookie who is just as baffled by her new assignment as Tong. The Tuxedo marked the feature-film debut for director Kevin Donovan, who had previously won international acclaim for his work in television commercials. (English)

Sailor Moon Transformation

Have you ever dressed as the opposite gender for a costume party? Do you think I should do it?

I am going to a big costume party on new years eve and there will be prizes for the best costumes. One of my friends had an idea, she says we should go together as a couple but dressed as the opposite gender, so she would dress as a man and I would dress as a woman. She thinks we would be able to swap clothes as we are both fairly slim and the same height, she would go in my tuxedo and she would give me a makeover and put me in one of her dresses, a sparkly silver minidress. She says if we went all out for the costumes we would probably win a prize, but that would mean me having a wig, make up, stiletto heels, the works. I am up for a laugh but not sure if this is a good idea, what would you do and have you ever dressed as the opposite sex for a costume?

For Halloween 2009 I was Sarah Palin. All I said the entire night was "I can see Russia from my house."
