Trichotillomania, AKA compulsive hair pulling.?
Compulsive hair pulling, to the point where it causes noticeable hair loss. I have it. It's not like I'm pulling out chunks of hair, I just run my hands through my hair a lot, kind of "against the grain". I am getting noticeably thin around the tip of my head, and people think I am beginning to bald ( I'm only 18 ).
I'm going to see a mental health professional tomorrow, has/does anybody else have this and have you sought treatment? What worked for you?

It is probably just a habit that you picked up and you just need to learn how to break the habit. Habits are hard to break as they say. Now if you are digging, scratching, and pulling your hair out then that might be anxiety.
