Treated Thinning Hair
I have such thin hair. Will adding highlights or lowlights to my hair make it thicker?
Have never colored my hair before (it's a lightish brown caramel color), but I've heard that color treating your hair adds volume.
Just adding highlights won't do much but if you get high and lowlights it will give the illusion of more hair. Plus the stylist can cut your hair to give it more volume. This usually means cutting some underneath shorter to make it fuller. Then they can tell you how to use volumizing products. Bumble and Bumble has some that work wonders! Once you know how to use them, no one will ever know you have thin hair!

this is not acceptable because I am a girl. It is a spot about the size of a dime, but is clearly not populated with hair follicles anymore. Has anyone every found a cause for this that could be treated by something other than hair replacement surgery?
OMG I Had that you know! I was so paranoid and scared when I saw that. I went to the doctor and I thought I had Alopecia. My life nearly ended lol. I later then found out the elastic headband that I'd been using had been pressing down on my hair and basically filing off the hair in that particular spot. Don't worry it should grow back soon, but if you start to see more then go to your doctor!

Dealing with the racism by a role model, where the child is of one to the races targeted by his venom, depending on the child could well reverse and generalize that distain for the race of the abuser.
Being able to grow past that abuse emotionally and not be an abuser or a hater will require a lot of work with a very good counselor.
