Acne Cure - Is It Possible?

The answer is a big yes! But before that we have to define what acne is. Acne is characterized by minor, though occasionally severe, skin eruptions due to inflammation around the sebaceous glands. Most prominent on the face, upper chest, and back, the sebaceous glands secrete sebum, a thick, oily substance that lubricates the skin. Acne develops when sebum flow is blocked by skin cells, dried sebum, or bacteria. A complete blockage produces a light colored bump (white head); an incomplete blockage leads to a dark colored spot (blackhead). Bacteria normally found on the surface of the skin may then infect the white head or blackhead, produce pus, and cause an eruption (pimple). In severe cases, known as cystic acne, painful purple lumps develop.

Except in cases that cause widespread skin pustules, cysts, or scarring, acne is generally harmless and responsive to treatment. It is most common during adolescence and can cause considerable psychological distress. Eruptions tend to wane by one’s 20s but they may persist. In women, acne may first appear in the 20s or 30s. Unexplained outbreaks of acne in older adults may be a sign of a more serious underlying problem.

Prevention

There is no evidence that dietary modifications such as avoiding chocolate or greasy foods will reduce the incidence of acne in those so predisposed, although good hygiene may reduce severity. Picking or squeezing acne lesions may increase the danger of infection and scarring.

Treatment

  • Regular washing of the face with unscented soap to remove excessive oil is recommended. However, over washing can irritate skin, making acne worse.
  • Topical solutions that dry the skin, promote peeling, and kill bacteria usually improve acne. Over the counter preparations most commonly contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
  • Several different prescription forms of synthetic vitamin a (Retin a, Diffferin and
    Tazorac) can be administered topically.
  • In more severe cases, topical or oral antibiotics like tetracycline and erythromycin may be prescribed.
  • For severe cases resistant to antibiotics, an oral vitamin A derivative drug, accutane may be used. This drug can damage a fetus so extreme caution must be used to ensure that pregnancy does not occur during treatment. Accutane has other potential side effects; people taking it must be closely monitored by a physician, usually with monthly visits and blood tests.
  • After acne has been fully controlled, scars can be treated with standard or laser surgery or a resurfacing procedure called dermabrasion.
  • And for herbs we recommend burdock root dandelion leaves, milk thistle, and red clover are good for acne. Burdock root and red clover are powerful blood cleansers. Milk thistle aids the liver in cleansing of the blood. A good place to begin an acne program is herbal cleansing of the blood. Both burdock and dandelion can help cleanse the liver. A liver that is not performing at its best can worsen acne because it cannot break down and clear excess hormones from the body, as it should. Burdock and dandelion also contain inulin, which can improve the quality of skin by removing bacteria. Eat a high fiber diet and lots of fruits. This is important for keeping the colon clean and ridding the body of toxins. Increase your intake of raw foods. The more natural raw foods consumed, the faster the skin will clear and heal. Especially include raw foods that contain oxalic acid, including almonds, beets, cashews and Swiss chard. Exceptions are spinach and rhubarb; these contain oxalic acid, but should be consumed in small amounts only.

All prevention and treatment above are incomplete without this. A powerful and effective alternative therapy. Make this one a part of your tools against acne. . “Microbes, germs, harmful bacteria and viruses, such as acne, do not cause disease in and of themselves,

The claim is so simple; an oxygen- deficient body is the breeding environment for all diseases. And we have to be reminded that to treat and prevent acne we have to deal it from the inside and out not only on the face but to cleanse and oxygenate all the systems within.

A sufficiently oxygenated body is uninhabitable by disease; acne and eventually all viruses’ can neither survive nor thrive in it. Therefore, the best defense against microbes, germs, harmful bacteria and viruses, is to keep the body oxygenated. Again, let me ask you the question  "Acne Cure - Is It Possible?" the answer is a big yes!
