hair loss OMG!?
im suffering from hair loss. it occurs in patches i guess. parts on my scalp only suffers from the hair fall. not all, but as i have observed it seems to to spreading. i used to have short hair cuts(im a guy) but now of the increasing sized of the patches i have no choice but to let it grow to cover the patches. im using a topical steroid for this problem but i dont think its working for me now. plus the adverse side effects ruins my day to day activities. (i stopped using) -,- so probably non medical treatment i should rely on. anyway, does mane and tail works or is good for sensitive hair? every time i wash my hair may hair falls off, it even falls when im just brushing my hair with my hand. and also is soap okay when used in the scalp? or like a substitute for shampoo? i need help. what are my options.

dont worry! im here now, lol. no, but this happened to my brother. he has an overactive thyroid gland and he loses his hair. its nothing serious its just how your body reacts and you get meds and then you're fine. however you might want to see a doctor. a dermotologist to be exact. my brother sees one once a month for his hair. they inject a substance in the scalp so...it might hurt a little but it gets the job done! in weeks you would see instant results! his hair grew back so fast. and i dont think its very expensive either. well good luck and i hope your hair grows back!

Thinning Hair Quick Response
Some people view thinning hair as just part of the aging process and go on about their life without a care. Then suddenly, it dawns on them that they are developing a seriously bad hair day. They look in the mirror and see their youthful look quickly fading. By this time they usually decide they want all their hair back. What they don't know is, during those 10 to 15 years of losing hair, some follicles have gone dormant and some have completely died. The hair follicles that have completely died can't be restored with the hair loss products available today.
This is why I strongly promote hair loss awareness. Start early during the onset of pattern baldness when hair loss treatments count the most. Launch a hair restoration campaign during the early stages of hair loss and you can keep most of your hair for life.
Often people lose time believing their thinning hair is being caused by stress or worse they have the attitude that it is going to happen anyway so what the heck. Hair loss due to stress happens only if you have undergone extreme physical or mental torture for extended periods. Most people do not fall into this category. The cause of male or female pattern baldnes is genetically based so lack of circulation or nutrients to the follicle from external factors don't have a long term impact on thinning hair. These influences are only temporary agents and make no difference in long term hair loss.
To be more technical, what is actually taking place is this: In your body, testosterone is converted to DHT by the enzyme 5a-reductase. Your hair follicles that support hair have little receptors on them. These receptors really like DHT and androgens (Testosterone, Dihydrotestosterone) and so these receptors collect this stuff, especially the DHT.
After the DHT and Androgens bind to the receptors, the DHT goes into the cell and interacts with the nucleus of the cell. Once the DHT is inside the cell it actually alters the production of the protein by the DNA in the nucleus of the cell. This alteration of the production of protein by the DNA of the cell causes the production of hair to cease. Over abundance of this activity directly affects the growth regulating that goes on in the follicle leading to slower and less healthy growth each time the hair re-grows, rests, and re-grows again until the hair eventually stops growing completely.
What you actually inherit from your family tree is receptors that have an affinity for DHT. The more affinity for this stuff the more hair you will lose. Welcome to the hard cold facts of male pattern baldness. However, when DHT is suppressed by a quality hair loss product, hair follicles continue to thrive.
In addition to a quality hair loss product there are some things you can do to help optimize the stimulative effects of the product.
1. Try to focus on healthy food choices. Go with lean protein and soy products as well as beans, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables that can improve the overall health of the scalp and hair.
2. Take very good care of your scalp. A damaged scalp from DHT laden sebum, reduces hair growth. Over time styling products and excess sebum buildup and can have a negative effect on the hair follicles. When it comes to warts in general, there are several treatments available. When the warts are on the scalp however, a few specific treatments may be a bit easier.
Most topical or over the counter treatments may be difficult to apply to hair baring skin so I would recommend a medical or physician performed treatment.
Cryosurgery or freezing with liquid nitrogen would be a straight forward approach. This could be performed by a dermatologist and usually takes about 30 seconds. There is some burning during the actual freezing part and then for a minute or so when the area is "thawing." The next few days after the cryosurgery the area gets a little red and puffy, then a scab forms and finally the wart falls off. During this time there are typically no restrictions and the area can get wet and it's OK to shampoo, etc.
Another easy approach would be to have the doctor do a shave removal. This would involve a little local anesthesia with a shot right into the area itself. On the scalp, the shot is more of a weird feeling than anything else. The numbing usually takes 2-3 seconds and then after that, she won't feel anything. The warts are then removed with a blade and the results are instant. The mild bleeding is stopped and the area should heal completely in 10-14 days. While this may be considered "surgery" its really not too bad.
Laser treatment would be overkill for the warts and the hair may make it less effective anyway as it may interfere with the laser light. In addition, if the warts are already at the cauliflower-like stage, topical therapy would be difficult on a hairy scalp and would likely take much longer than cryosurgery or a shave removal.
