however, since you are only 18, it is probably due to either stress, or can just be a phase in which you think your hair is thinning out, but its not.
look, the only way to keep your hair nice & thick is to be healthy.
do you smoke?
do you eat fast food more than 3x a week?
do you exercise more than 30 min. a day?
do you eat protein rich food?
if you said no to any of these, then you need to fix those problems NOW (!)
Otherwise, see a doctor for specific treatment.
In the meantime, stick it out and just wear a cap.
