Thinning Loss Fibers
IBS & Weight Gain?
2 years ago, I was diagnosed with IBS. Earlier that year, I lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers. I got thin, then the IBS hit.
I couldn't eat the high fiber diet Weight Watchers requires because of flare ups, but I still kept active. I'm not a junk food eater. And even though it's painful to eat veggies, I did. I joined the gym, then I gained over 20 pounds. I still goto the gym several times a week, watch what I eat and 2 years later...no weight loss. I tried a year ago to go back on Weight Watchers with zero results & after 6 months I stopped going. I've tried probiotics, peppermint tea, Zelnorm (but had a reaction to it) and still nothing. I'm still overweight- at least 40 pounds to lose. This whole thing has put a serious dent into my dating life & it's embarassing having flare ups any time I eat a vegetable or piece of wheat bread. Does anyone have any advice or have been in the same situation? It's not like I'm NOT trying. I'm frustrated !
I am finally passed my IBS although I don't know why. I use to have such severe pain I'd pass out. I totally agree the flare ups were horrible. I was put on an Anti-Spasmodic for it that seemed to help. Funny, I lost weight and started WW when I gained it back. It's so difficult. Being that there are no changes in your routine and you are at a standstill I would consult a nutritionist or go back to your PCP. Have you had your Thyroid checked? I know a lot of us don't like to hear this but with aging comes metabolism changes.

How do I make my skin glow?
My brother is getting married and I am going to India in 6 weeks. In this period I am also trying to lose some weight. My ht is 5.4'' and my current weight is 130 pounds so trying to get to 126. Now if I lose weight, my skin looks pale and thin and terrible. So I need to keep doing what I am doing and that is losing weight but how to I stop the skin destruction and get a glow instead. Ok, to give you a lil background. Before I started losing weight, I was known around for gorgeous face, skin and hair so its not very hard for me to get there. Only problem is that weight loss is creating difficulties. I started having fresh orange carrot 12oz juice everyday, drink a glass of milk with fiber, protein and dry fruits every morning and have good lunch and light dinner which does include good amount of vegetables. What more? Pls advice more stuff to eat for skin glow and any home made masks etc. Whatever comes to your mind and no jokes.
For your legs: Get the fruit out:
One banana and can of pineapple and some honey - - blend!
Layer that on your legs for moisture, resilience, and a nice glow... honey is natural moisturizer, banana and pineapple can help exfoliate and glow!
Can be used on arms as well!
If you get blotchy - on your arms, legs, stomach ( I do, like dry skin spots) - get exfoliating gloves (about 5.00 at the drug store) and Lever 2000 Original - helps even skin tone and balance out the oils vs. the dryness which can cause skin dullness (recommended from my dermatologist)
For your face: Your makeup will be what fixes any thing you got going on girl:
Apricot scrub ( AMAZINNNGG) - and a tinted lotion.... when applying makeup get a highlighter (in a pencil or powder form) Bare Minerals has a great one (with lots of skin tones too so you can pick for your natural coloring- are your darker? lighter? pink? peachy??) you get my drift!
Other natural remedies:
Hands: just use vaseline at night with some borgeise gloves
Teeth: strawberries and baking soda mix together and brush - naturally brighten teeth
Nails - use a protein based polosh for strength and natural shine
Skin in general - EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE! Its the best thing you can do...
Keep up the juices and stuff that you are eating now... and you are at a great weight as well... keep up the good work!
