"what is the quick cabinet finish restorer formula?"?
A former acquaintance said to mix some linseed oil, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits & stain (or some blend thereof) & rub onto slightly worn cabinetry for a good quick fix. I don't recall the exact substances or the ratios.

Actually, it is less expensive and easier to use a product that is already mixed in the correct ratios, which would be either the Fornbeys product mentioned above or Howard's Restore a Finish. You can purchase either at the home improvement stores for under $10 and both will restore the finish in a jiffy. Mixing it yourself not only takes time, a resperator mask, good ventilation but you will have a lot of volatile chemicals leftover to store.
