Thin Dry
I have hyperthyroidism; My hair is all thin and dry at the front and sides. How long will it take to recover ?
I ve been on carbimazole for 3 months, this hair problem is depressing me. i've lost weight, but my thyroid is under control but i see now difference yet.
also experienced hair loss after taking Tapazole for 6 weeks in 2007. I have always had a full head of hair and within a couple of months, nearly half of my hair fell out. I know how much hair I lost because I collected it to show the physicians. I also had other (rare) side effects. The Mayo Clinic Endo said it could not be the medication but once I quit taking the Tapazole my hair started growing back in and the other side effects disappeared. I have refused to see this Mayo Clinic Endo. He tried to scare me into taking PTU to which I refused. My FT4 was 2.1 and FT3 was 3.6. My hyperthyroid was not causing problems as confirmed by another physician. I researched a herbal compound, ThyroSoothe and after one month my thyroid had returned to upper normal ranges and continues to be in the mid range

My hair is very thin and dry?
I'm 22 and have very dry, thin hair. I'm not on any medication and neither do I drink or smoke. I don't even blow-dry my hair or use too many products. I haven't even coloured all my hair....just a few highlights here and there. And, I eat as healthy as I can, too. I really don't know what to do about my problem. I've been living with this for at least 3 years. Even if I condition my hair, the hair feels moisturised only for that day.
I have some dandruff, too. Could that be the culprit?
Try a mosturizing dandruff shampoo and a volumizing conditioner.
