Alternative therapies for chronic kidney infections and UTIs?
I've been ill since feburary, and (some of) the doctors I have seen think I have chronic UTIs which are spreading to my kidneys. I'm really fed up, and none of the antibiotics seem to have much effect any more, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any alternative remedies (anything at all) that might help. I drink 2 - 2 1/2 litres of water a day, and sometimes have cranberry juice, although this doesn't seem to have much effect either.
I have seen a uroglogist, who referred me to the infectious diseases department, where they have a clinic for people with reccurrent UTIs. The problem is that only one of my many urine tests has shown infection- the others have either shown blood (I have had two episodes of frank blood in my urine) or white cells, but nothing definitive. Have also had an ultrasound and an IVU done to check for kidney-stones and any other problems, and neither of them showed anything.
A therapy called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) has provided great results in resolving urinary track infections. The basic premise of EFT is that strong negative emotions underly many of our physical health problems. By gently tapping on meridian points and using cognitive word play you can shift the negative feelings and move forward. The therapy regularly provides gentle pain relief free of harmful side effects, and can often resolve the situation completely when you find the underlying issue.
I've put an article below from the therapy founder's website about one woman's anger causing her UTIs and how she resolved it with EFT's help. There are many other articles on this information rich site that you can research. My own website provides a good brief overview to EFT.

Low calorie diet for weight loss?
Hi
I am a female. I desperately want to loose weight. Presently my weight is 73 kgs. My diet is as follows (I am a south indian)
I start my day with one litre of water in empty stomach before brushing (water therapy)
Break Fast: one bowl of cabbage soup
Mid Day: One cup of coffee with 2 pillets of sugar free gold
Lunch: small cup of salad, 3 chapathis or 3 idlis along with some light side dishes
Evening : One cup of coffee with 2 pillets of sugar free gold along with 3 biscuits
Dinner: one bowl of horse gram soup
I have started to exercise for 1 hr. 30 mins on treadmill and 30 mins floor exercise.
Please let me if I am on the right way to loose weight and also let me know approximately how much is my calorie intake and in how many days can I see results.
Well most people would say not enough. Which makes me really angry. Blah blah blah starvation mode blah. To be honest you will lose the weight fast, and I mean very fast. However, if you start eating *normally* again, which basically means to most people eating the junk you were eating before, then you will put it all back on if not even more. You can keep it off however if you eat healthily, and carry on the exercise ragime.
