It's just a very bright light. It's not a laser. It could dazzle your eyes for a while, and make you see spots, but it can't blind you permanently, or anything like that. IF it was a laser, it would be required to have the laser warning sticker where you can see it. A real laser, can permanently burn your corneas.
Beretta has made a CX4 Storm carbine for some time, that uses the same mags as their px4 storm,92's & couger 8000 pistols, in 9mm, .40 s&w & .45acp. Mine is a bit smaller than my M$ 16″ Armalite. In 9mm one can use their 17 or 20 rnd mags for their px4 pistol for a pair of accutate 100% functiomal house defender With large ammo supply( 5 mags hold 100 rnds of 9mm. Thei gives one fire power with less penetration then a 5.56mm, in a city enviorment. With a TLR 1 light,laser and red dot it makes a very good choice, for me anyway. Good luck.
