Super Biotin
Can too much Biotin cause dandruff or hair loss?
I've been taking Biotin, Women's One A Day, Folic Acid, Super B Complex, and Fish Oil vitamins for about 2-3 months now and I have not seen any changes on my hair. Recently I started getting dandruff and now my hair is falling out even more. When I massage my scalp it just makes it even more itchier. What do I do?

why does the biotin vitamin bottle say 18+?
I've been taking Biotin vitamins for the past several months, and I just got a new bottle. The bottle I used to use didn't say anything about age restrictions, but the new bottle says 18+. I don't want to stop using it since it makes my hair and nails grow super fast and strong, and also seems to give me a boost of energy when I'm usually pretty sluggish. But at the same time, I don't want it to harm me. What should I do?
And I'm 15 right now.
Hi Snowbunny. This is a legal disclaimer their lawyers recommended. There is no medical reason for not taking reasonable doses of Biotin supplements at your age.
Note: nutrients work in harmony. All of them are required for optimum biochemistry in your body. Consequently, it may be wise to take a quality multi-vitamin/mineral supplement as well.
Lastly, remember that supplements are just that - supplements to a healthy diet. Be sure you are eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and berries and avoiding the processed foods and junk foods.

Whey Protein is legit. They use it in the Olympics, and I've used in sports competitions no problem. Dunno about the other two though.
