Shampoo Body Wash
Can anyone recommend a Shampoo and Body Wash to stop me smelling of chlorine after swimming?
I have just taken up swimming 3 times a week and although I scrub myself with bodywash and wash my hair thoroughly after I still smell strongly of chlorine....can anyone recommend any product such as shampoo and body wash that is good that doesnt cost the earth that helps take away the chlorine smell? Thanks
I use Ultraswim shampoo, it does a pretty good job of getting the chlorine out and it's reasonably priced; but, any anti-residue shampoo will do the trick. Then, follow up with a high quality moisturizing conditioner.
I've tried virtually everything to get the odor out of my body and nothing seems to work that great. Start your workout with a good shower, allowing your pores to absorb untreated water instead of chlorinated water, then shower again afterward using a mild moisturizing soap. It seems to me that the only way to actually get rid of the odor is to sweat it out. So, if you have access to a steam bath or sauna, take advantage of it and clean out the pores. Good luck.

shampoo conditioner: i use herbal essences its good but you should change your shampoo brand every few months its better for your hair so at the moment im using loreal elvive its really good and keeps your hair clean for longer than most other shampoos. ive used it in the past and its great just make sure you get the right type that suites your hair type
body wash: dove fresh or radox
deodorant:sure also know as (rexona) use anti-perspirant you can get ones that last 24hrs and have full protection.
