Scalp Thinning
im 35 yr old women and my hair is thinning from scalp seems like every other month?
im not going through menapause. hairline is becoming wider this has never happened before. and seems hair coming out of scalp is actually lighter shade. its falling out from scalp cause i can see little dots which is hair regrowth. but this seems to be a pattern every month. can someone tell me what it could be since its thinning on the scalp. and also my eyebrows are thinner and lashes are thinng as well. this is weird but i need to mention that the hairs in my noise are almost gone as well. little thinng on arms as well.
It could be a thyroid condition. It could also possibly be a form of alopecia areata called alopecia universalis. Alopecia areata causes patchy hair loss on the scalp. Alopecia universalis affects all scalp and body hair. It is an autoimmune condition. This condition often requires a "trigger." The onset often occurs 1-3 months after the trigger. Possible triggers include infection, vaccination, exposure to allergen or toxin etc.
Seeing new growth is a very good sign. It means that the follicles are not destroyed.

Treat Thinning Hair by treating the scalp
Hair thinning in scalp area, what could I do at home since I can't afford the doc or beauty shop?
I'm a 26 year old blk woman that has been dealing with this scalp thinning issue for some years. For the past few years I have grown accustom to relaxing my hair consistently every month and at one time I wore ponytails all the time, then last year i started back doing the hair weave using bonding glue and even getting the quick weave done on my hair.
Then I had decided to stop relaxing my hair for the most of the year until 2 months ago, so now I have found a new trend to do quick weave without it touching my hair, however, I decided recently that I wanted to try to get some stimulation going for the area until I can afford to get it treated professionally, question is, I'm truly not sure what is the best stimulation product. I went and bought groganics, and some doo gro products, but im not sure which i want to use now, HELP ME !
Take a little olive oil on your fingers, and before you wash your hair, massage your scalp in gentle circular motions all over. This stimulates hair growth, and olive oil is known for renewing the strength of hair.

I took this as Joy being very dry and sarcastic. If she was mocking Tyra then I suppose thats super rude and unladylike but then again, to each their own.
Maybe Joy felt insulted. Or maybe she just wanted to take Tyra on and gain some fame off it. Who knows celebrities motivations these days.
As for me I have nothing against weave I just don't wear it. No particular reason – I just don't. I wore a couple ponytails in my younger days but have never worn a full head. I would love to try one day and see how I look with long full locks but for now I'm good with what I have.
Actually, I lied. I have a problem with FOOL and CHEAP weave. if it looks good I'm not hatin but when it looks like Yakky from Dollarama I'm gonna point and laugh. SORRY! And when it's balding out your scalp and thinning and breaking your hair, and you rely on it ALL the time, I think you need a break. JUST my opinion tho.
