Scalp Thinning Loss

I'm 26 years old, it seems like my hair is thinning on top, what measures can I take to prevent hair loss?

My father, who's almost 50 years old, said he started experiencing a similar situation around my age but he would rigorously massage his scalp when showering. He claims by doing so you're allowing more oxygen to your hair thus keeping it from falling out. I bought a head massager which I began using. Also a bottle of biotin, and try to massage my scalp better when showering. Is there any other proven remedy? Thank you

Pink skin sounds like irritation. Have you seen a dermatologist? Your scalp should be the color of the rest of your skin, only slightly lighter. Any areas of redness that have thinning hair should be seen by a dermatologist, as it could be some kind of scalp disease or fungus.
I wouldn't deal with the Rogaine, go to a dermatologist.
