has anyone used Nioxin?
I wanted to hear about anyone's experience with Nioxin. I have been using it for about 2 months. A little less than two years ago, I had a terrible experience with glued in hair extensions. I was uninformed (& heavily mislead) about the extreme damage that it would do to my hair. My hair thinned out drastically, and although it seems to progressively become thicker, it still is not where it used to be. I use Nioxin system 1, the cleanser, the scalp therapy (although typically do not directly apply it to my scalp every time I use it because it seems to weigh my hair down) & the scalp treatment. I take a multivitamin twice a day, a vitamin b complex, 1200 mcg biotin (recentley lowered from 2500 mcg as I thought that was too much) & 1 to 2 flaxseed oil caplets per day. I just want to hear about anyone's experience using Nioxin & how long it took them to see results,if any.
I have been using it for thinning hair. I do not really notice it being any thicker. It did give me a healthier scalp and my hair has never felt better, but thicker? I'm not seeing it. The bottle also says something like 8 out of 10 people perceive thicker hair. Not got them thicker hair. I guess it is based on your own perception. I use the system 1 cleanser scalp therapy as well as the deep repair hair masque. And although my hair it not getting thicker - it is not thinning anymore and feels really healthy so I am sticking with it. I have been using it about 7-8 mos.

experiences with Nioxin?
I know Nioxin is somewhat of a controversial product. In October of 2006, I had an awful experience with glued in hair extensions and it really thinned out my hair.I definitely learned my lesson about hair extensions. Anyway, since this happened it continues to become progressively thicker. I have just started using this product and noticed a big difference after only one use. However, my results have not been as amazing as that first time (I now use it about every other day.) I am just using system 1 for normal to thin-looking hair and I use the shampoo and the scalp therapy. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this product. If it did help your hair, how long did it take for you to notice a significant difference? Has your hair become thicker? I welcome any (appropriate) answers. Thank you.
My boyfriend uses that I'm sure and I know that because his mother is a cosmetologist that she would only use the best for him.
And yes, ever since he began using it, I noticed that his hair no longer looked like his hair was thinning.
