Relaxed Hair Growth Journey

My aunt relaxed my hair again!! and i promised i would never do it again but now i have to do my transition?

journey all over again and its gonna take a long time and the right products, but what i wanted to ask if there was any methods to speed up the growth and if there are products that can help your hair grow curlier because my hair is really curly but if there are products that create curls while the new growth is growing. thank you very much!!

i have a relaxer to its not that bad but if you truly want curlier hair use garnier hair mousse in a green bottle it makes your hair really curly if you swim in a pool and wash your hair more frequently it helps the relaxer get weaker

My Hair Growth Journey - April 09 through Jan 2010

I am currently transitioning from relaxed to natural hair AND I absolutely am NOT cutting my relaxed hair...

I will just let my hair grow, grow, and grow...I would like to know, if anyone knows, (by the way, my hair won't break, I know how to care for my hair,both natural and relaxed) what will happen to the relaxed hair as my natural hair grows in thicker and longer..(By the way, I've always had really thick and long natural curly hair since I was born) It's the relaxers and perms I got since the age of 12 that diminished my hair's full growth potential...Nevertheless, I'm getting on with this hair journey..I have long, individual braids on, and they will remain for 6 months and then I will continue with transitioning to my natural hair again..What do you guys think? Any suggestions, tips would be appreciated. Thanks. Be safe!

I did the relaxed to natural thing too. It didn't work out for me so now I'm back to getting perms. However, like it has been mentioned before keeping it conditioned, if your not gonna keep it braided, make sure you comb it out regularly. I have found that keeping it braided actually helps it grow faster. In reference to you cutting off your relaxed hair...eventually it will grow out, its just going to take a while and it looks kinda crazy with the natural roots and relaxed ends. But if styled correctly its not a noticeable. there are several websites out there that you can use to link with other people going or fully natural as well (nappturality beingone of the most popular) Good luck with your journey sister!
