macbook pro 13 inch vs 15 inch?

In a year, ill be graduating and attending university, I'll go into engineering. Considering those graphic design and other intensive 3D works, i dont know if the integrated nvidia 9400m 13 inch macbook pro can get the job done.

Well then you'll need to lay out the extra cash for a 15-inch (some configurations) or 17-inch (all configurations) MBP, both of which also have a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics processor in them.

If you're not graduating for another year, I'd hold off on the purchase until next summer. Apple will probably refresh the MBP line before then, so maybe we'll get discrete graphics in the 13-inch, too. Also, by then you'll know what school you're going to, so you can call the engineering department to find out what software you'll be expected to run.

How hot is too hot? Macbook Pro?

I recently bought a Core 2 Duo (2007 version) Macbook Pro with 2.2 ghz 15.4 inch screen, 2 gigs of ram - you know, the base $2,000 one. Anyway, how hot is too hot? when i'm ripping a dvd or something or playing a game istat pro says that my cpu is in the 60s degrees (celsius). Is this bad? It feels REALLY hot, especially on the bottom. At what point should I get worried and quit the cpu-intensive apps?

I would recommend you purchase a notebook cooler. They can be powered off of the USB port, 12v power point or house current.
