Can I use an anti-frizz conditioner to scrunch my hair?

I have straight hair and its a little past my shoulders. I want to scrunch my hair but there is no mousse gel or hairspray to be found in my house. Can i use my ant-frizz condition on my dry hair to scrunch it or would i have to take a shower and only use shampoo and then when i get out use the conditioner? im afraid it will make my hair all oily and disgusting looking...
