Hi there,
I have some really bad news for you...there is no special way to grow hair faster than what it is right now....there's no magic bullet for faster hair growth. However, don't feel like you don't have control, because you do.
What I mean about this is that you have the control to grow healthy hair. First, and this is the hardest part for some, you must trim damaged ends off first...split ends can travel up the hair shaft causing more damage and breakage, which makes it look like your hair isn't growing because it is literally ripping off when you brush it.
Condition, condition, condition! Wash your hair every other day (or when you really need to) with a less harsh shampoo (I use baby shampoo and dove conditioner). COMB your hair when it's wet, don't ever brush it when it's wet...in fact, avoid brushing your hair and use a comb instead to get rid of the tangles.
Eat healthy foods; eggs, leavy vegetables, fruit, etc. This doesn't mean that you have to start some crazy diet, you can still eat fast food and such, just...make sure that's not the only thing you eat.
Take B vitamin supplements, and look for a special vitamin called biotin. This should make your hair healthier.
Another thing, stop using hot tools to style hair. If you really must use the hair dryer, use a low speed and use low heat.
Patience is also needed!
