how to grow out natural hair havent had a relaxer in about a 2 months and a half?

okay so i have been wanting to grow out hair for awhile(transition) but now i really want to do it. I am a sophmore in highschool and i want to do the trim as it grows regime. so far i am still able to straighten it and blowdry it and it is all straight just about just a little wave in the new growth my is health and i drink water only a daily basis i wash my hair once a week and deep condition it with smooth shine therapy silk fusion(6o sec. critical repair) and after blowdrying and straight ironing it i wrap my hair and use the isoplus oil sheen spray for extra shine and a little bit of indian hemp grease on scalp. So i just need help on going with the transitioning my hair is like 2 inches longer than shoulder lenght and i trim it about every 3-5 weeks. I also wonder what my hair texture will be like cause even though i have a relaxer my hair is still wavy/curly like when it dries naturally with a little mousse. what product should i use, how long will the process take.

You using to much stuff on your hair. Just wrap it after u wash it and in the morning straighten it. Grease it after wash and only a LITTLE when straighten. I know because i've done it for half a year and my hair is at my chest.

(For the natural hair women ONLY) Does anyone use Softee Herbal Gro or Indian Hemp?

I'm using Softee hair grease to moisturize my hair and promote growth. When I apply it to my scalp, it has a tingling feel, so I know it works!! And i'm just wondering who else uses it, and what are results when you used it. Thank you!!

A tingling feeling doesn't mean your hair is growing, or growing faster. There are ingredients they put in products that can give you that tingling, fresh scalp-feel, for instance, menthol is one such ingredient.

The only way to tell if the product is working is to actually measure your hair growth. Measure it for a couple of months before you start using the product and then measure it for a couple of months after you start using the product. Measure it with a ruler, because if you try to guess then you're going to be incorrect. BTW, if you do decide to measure your hair growth with a ruler and find that its growing 1/2 inch a month, well, that's the average growth rate.

You'll eventually find out that these miracle products that purport to make your hair grow faster are nothing but snake oil sold by companies that prey on those who are desperate for longer hair. Nothing can make your hair grow faster as it's already pre-determined by your genes. Plus, if there were products that could make your hair grow faster then do you actually think they'll be literally selling it for pennies on the dollar in the african-american hair isle? I mean, really, the stuff that actually works to make your hair grow (not grow faster), like Rogain, is expensive. This $hit has snake oil written all over it, but you'll eventually find that out for yourself and find out how you've just wasted your money. You're better off focusing on length retention, because hair breakage is the number one cause for short hair.

BTW, I used Indian Hemp a long time ago and it's nothing but garbage, and greasy, so I'd never use it or anything like it again. In fact, grease is just plain nasty for your hair because of the ingredients alone. I'm natural and I'd never put grease in my hair.
