Growing out my relaxer?

I use to have shoulder length relaxed hair which I would usually wear in weave. Over the last year I've noticed that my hair has been steadily breaking terribly and thinning out really bad regardless of conditioning. Admittedly this could be due to the lack of trims, self relaxers and tight braids my friend use to do for me.

Having now acknowledged that there is no way back from this damage I have decided to grow out the relaxer that I've had since I was 14 (I'm 26 now) and go natural and start fresh.

Can anyone recommend any styles I could wear whilst making this transistion as I am not quite ready to cut it off cormpletely until I have sufficient growth. Also does anyone know of any grow aids or suppliments that I could use to speed up this process as I know it will take years?

I WANT LONGER HAIR!! Any tips?

Im 18 yrs old and ive had shoulder length hair for as long as i can remember! My hair is dyed very light blonde and i know that this has definitely effected it's growth. I plan on putting an end to the monthly dyeing, but i just want to know if there is anything else i can to do aid it's growth. I don't consider extensions an option either, i want to do this the natural way. Thanks!

try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the
time and it makes your hair grow faster. I;d say massage it into
your scalp b/c thats going to help the roots if you just put it on
the ends, it not going to do anything to it. You can find it at
walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water
to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should
use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it.
Even hot water hurts your hair.
