I have severe hairfall..plzz help?
I am having a very severe hairfall from past one and half months,taking BIOTIN 5mg a day for past 1 month and also applying MINOXIDIL AMENEXIL topical solution for past 10 days.but of no help.. i am loosing hair at a alarming rate.. it has become dry and lifeless dull..... can't concentrate on ne other thing..loosing my self respect.. cant do ne style as it loks limp... have to always plait it....
i used to have wavy volumious hair of mid back lenght.if ne1 having similar problem as me can share their xperience.. it will be of gr8 help.

I'm not fully aware of how much hair your loosing but during the months of November December and January women can experience hair loss nothing to worry about it does end at some point, but if it is not that then there is two other things it could be.
1.poor diet exercise sleep etc. can cause thinning of hair which i would suggest maybe choosing a healthier life style unless u already do, other ise you could maybe take some zinc supliments each day, this helped me alot.
or 2. There is a diesiese that causes hair hair lose it can appear at any age and can down the lines cause you to loose other hair such as eyebrows eye lashes, and body hair.
but i doubt you would have this although it may be best to get a check up with a dermatologist

Discover The Truth Behind Hair Loss In Women
There are currently more than 25 million women in the United States, who suffer from premature hair loss. In some cases the effect of losing one's hair can trigger severe depression. As women age, their skin changes due to reduced estrogen levels, causing thinning of the hair. In early menopause, women have lower levels of estrogen and testosterone is available in higher concentrations resulting in a reduced growth cycle of the hair. Finally, there is hair loss. At the age of 70 to 80, a women's hair follicles shrink to the point where no hair growth occurs.
Experts claim that the typical growth pattern of hair is at approximately one inch per month. The hair growth pauses for a while and starts to fall, but rise again soon. This cycle continues until maturity. However, a group of hormones called androgens interfere with the natural process of hair growth. According to dermatologists, the androgen dihydrotestosterone, or DHT is detremental to hair growth. When dihydotestosterone comes into contact with enzymes in the cells of the hair it binds with receptors deep in the follicle. The increasing concentration of DHT causes the follicles to shrink. Some follicles are shrink and die off resulting in significant hair loss.
Whatever the cause of hair loss in women, it is still very difficult to live with. After all, many people believe that hair accentuates a women's beauty. Lack of hair will drastically change the way a person looks. If your hair loss is inevitable, it may be a good idea to seek treatment. Some treatments are available over the counter. Other remedies requires the supervision of a doctor.
There are two treatments currently approved by the FDA for the treatment of hair loss. They are minoxidil and finasteride, also known as Propecia.
