Minoxidil Three

I got one of (Minoxidil 5) side effects, will it disappear if i stopped Minoxidil ?

Hi, i started using Minoxidil 5 three days ago, and i started suffering from sore/numb fingers and toes with pain..

And it seems they are some of the minoxidil side effects as i read online.

I stopped using Minoxidil today, so will the soreness and pain go away within like 24 or 48 hours ?

Should i stop it or just reduce the sprays/dose ?

Most likely your using too much. The must common side effect is acne, anything outside of acne may be an indicator that you are using too much.
Think about it, you can decrease your application, or stop all together because you haven't been using it too long. Keep in mind that some men "shed" when they first start using minoxidil. But it will regrow with continued use. If your pain and numbness continues see a doctor, you may be allergic, can't rule that out.

Minoxidil and Propecia for hair loss?

Hi, I'm asking a question for my dad cause he's not too good on computers. His hair has been thinning and he has been losing his hair for about 6 years. It's not too bad. Really just the front sides, about an inch and a half up on each side. He has been on Minoxidil for about three years. At first it worked great. He grew some hairs back and it stopped the hair loss a lot. But the hairs he grew back were very tiny and aren't covering the spots as well as he wants them to. So his doc just put him on Propecia and he started yesterday. He wants to know if he stops the minoxidil will he lose all that hair, or because he is now on propecia will it all stay? Or would it just be good to stick with both? So basically the question is this: Just take Propecia? Or use both Propecia and Minoxidil? Thanks.

Minoxidil and Propecia works on different receptors in the brain. Both promote hair growth, or rather, both help decreases hair loss and possibly promote hair growth.

The advantage of Minoxidil is that it is topical - so less side effect. Propecia is expensive. They both works somewhat, so using both of them would give more hair growing/less hair loss effect than using either alone.

I would use both Minoxidil and Propecia together.
