Is 7% oil to high to have in a 85g tin of cat food?

Turkey & Giblets (min. 26%), Pork, Liver, Chicken, Vitamin and Mineral Supplements, Taurine.

I have brought this a couple of times for my cat, but i was wondering if the oil content was to high and if there is a ideal percentage as to how much should be in cat food.
I'm asking this because i've come across cat foods which say 2.5% which is low compared to the 7% in this one.

I will only be giving it him once a day if i do start giving it him on a regular basis.

it does sound a little high but if your feeding your cat a lot of dry food , the extra oil will aid digestion , the main this is that your cat is eating cat food that isn't full of fillers and the ingredients are good

Should we change formulas?

Yes I BF but I am having to supplement with formula because my body was not producing enough milk and my daughter was not gaining weight. At any rate, we put her on Similac Advance. She has been on it for 3 weeks and we have noticed that shortly after she drinks it (within 10 to 15 mins) she is having rather large bowel movements. Is it possible that the formula is upsetting her tummy? If so and we try another formula what brand should we try?

She is 5 months old
she isn't constipated by any means...she is having bowel movements after every bottle? That to me would signify more of a problem with the formula than constipation wouldn't it?

No the formula is not upsetting her tummy, it's just a bit more substantual than your breast milk, which is easily digested. If the movements are upsetting her by being too hard, or if she seems like she's having trouble passing them, there's blood in her stool or she vomits a lot, then this is cause to change formula (but to some that's maybe over the counter and prescribed by a doctor). Almost all formulas are the same because they all have to conform to government guidlines. Unless these big bowel movements are hurting your baby (and by that I mean screaming for at least 10 minutes before they appear!) then she's fine. It's just a sign that her tummy is working properly! Would you rather she didn't poo?

Also, this is often a sign that she's ready for some baby rice to be introduced slowly because it sounds like her tummy is working just tickity boo!
