Mega Tek
any opinions on EQyss Mega-Tek rebuilder?
has anyone used this product for hair rebuilding on their horse and does it work? my horse has a very fine mane that breaks easily and they say this will fix the problem. Does it really make it grow faster?
my horse is an Andalusian!
It doesn't make it grow faster, but it does make the skin soft and also stimulates blood flow to the area, which will give the hair follicles enough nourishment to be fully stimulated. Kind of like Rogaine for horses! The hair will be healthier because the follicles are healthy and stimulated, clear, not plugged up, so it will seem that the hair grows "faster" because there is more of it and it won't break off so easily.
All that said, there are certain breeds and lines of these breeds that just do not grow a lot of hair. Many old line Appaloosa's with very little out cross (only allowed since the 1980's) just do not grow a lot of hair due to extensive inbreeding in the 50's and 60's. I would assume the the Mega Tek would help, but still won't give a full neck of hair.
I have used the mega tek primarily on blanket rubs; I have andalusians and haflingers, so I don't have a problem with manes! It works very, very well on the blanket rubs.

i need something to help hair because it is extremely unhealthy right now and i hear that its great for that but it makes your hair thicker and i already have thick hair. so will it make my hair extremely thick or keep it at at its natural thickness. and also i would like to know if it really does make hair grow faster. sorry if thats alot of questions but i just want to do my reseach and see if anyone has used it.

I used it for about 2 months, but my hair only grew the average rate - 1/2 an inch.
So then I tried it with MN, and then received 3 inches of growth in 2 months.
I don't know, it works on somepeople but not only, but mostly on people who don't have enough protein in their diet.
