Medium Coarse Natural
How would I color my naturally black hair to this color at home?
Okay, so I've made my decision to add color to my hair, which would be about the medium golden blonde (8.3) on this chart

My hair is naturally black and the last thing I had done chemically was a perm about 2 years ago, so its all natural though i straighten it at times. Is there a safe way for me to add this color without breaking the bank or my hair itself? (at home!) What product(s) would be best to use? Would I have to bleach it first? (i'd prefer not to if at all possible) I wouldn't be coloring my entire head, just a section in the back as an accent. my hair is naturally curly because i'm black but its not nappy, as i'm light skinned, so its pretty easy to style and straighten//curl and isn't coarse or brittle at all. i only mention this because coloring techniques may not be the same for my hair vs. a latina or a white girl's hair.

you will have to bleach it as your hair is way too dark to take on that color
