Are the games for the 'Leapster World' handheld console compatible with the Leapster 'L max'?

have decided on the L Max console for my 5 yr old son due to the fact that it can be plugged into the TV as well as being a handheld console. It doesn't have a vast range of games though, unlike the Leapster World console, which doesnt plug into the TV. Does anyone know if the games are compatible for both consoles? have any comments about the L Max? thanks

I think some (if not most) can. If you look at the boxes in the shop, each game says which consoles it can be played on.
