People with curly/dry hair. Have you ever tried regular body lotion in your hair after a shower?

Applying lotion to your hair a good idea when you hair is too dry?
Only a tiny little bit of the situation is desperate for smooth down purposes.
If it is an on-going problem, I'd go buy yourself a DIY hot oil treatment and proper hair moisturiser.
