What is the best weight loss treatment?
I have experimented with a few, what is your suggestion?
It went on slowly, so it'll come off again slowly. Frustrating, but that's the way it is. Anyway, start by writing down everything you eat and drink each day - no cheating, EVERYTHING - together with the calorie values. Make sure you get the calorie values right as well - if you cheat, you're only cheating yourself. Next, if you don't do much exercise and you're female, then aim to consume no more than 1500 calories per day. Once you start writing everything down, you'll be amazed at how much you consume without even thinking about it, but it'll also be easier to see where you can cut down. I know it's boring, but increase your fruit, veggies and protein and reduce fats and sugary stuff (soft drinks for instance). Get into the habit of reading all the nutritional labels on foods in the supermarket *before* you put them in your trolley, and if you can't resist, say, biscuits (for instance), then don't buy them - if they're not in the cupboard, then you can't eat them.
Don't forget ... there are a myriad of companies/people out there who would *love* to take your money by selling you a weight loss plan, which in all likelihood won't work. There's no magic potion - you just have to consume less than you expend and you WILL lose weight.
