How do I apply makeup for a discoloration?
I have a few small spots of hypopigmentation on some of my toes after a surgery for hammertoes. I'm african american and now I have yellow colored skin on the stitches marks instead of my black skin color. I don't wear any make up so I need help. I've done to 4 dermatologists and theres no cure for loss pigmentation.
I'm gonna try MAC, but how do I apply it so its last all day when I wear sandals. Do I use the concealer first, then foundation or what. How can I make it so it doesnt smear off and looks natural in natural light. Also will I have to use it on all my toes so they look the same? Thank you.
I would use a product specially catering to hyperpigmentation. Dermablend is excellent. The leg and body cover stays put most of the day, is water and sweat resistant but requires a setting powder for maximum wear. The only product by MAC that I can think of off the top of my head that would stand up to the leg and body cover would be the MAC full coverage cream. And again you will need a setting powder. I am unsure of the wear and durability of this product.
You should use minimal product, so no, do not use both a foundation and concealer. 1 good product with a good setting powder should be sufficient.

Does significant weight gain have an effect on the oiliness of your facial skin?
Hi, hoping somebody can help me out with this little problem I've been struggling with!
I am 21 years old, and in the past 2 years I have gradually put on about 30 lbs or so. Before the weight gain, I had normal skin... RARELY had zits or pimples, no problems with it being dry/oily. However, now, my skin is constantly oily and it's a lot easier for me to get acne.
I don't know if it's the weight loss or the fact that in the past couple of years, I have started regularly using blush and bronzer. (No foundation, base, concealer, etc.) My worst habit is sleeping in my makeup so maybe my oily skin is a result of the pore blockage all those years?
Hell, it could even be a combination of those two factors!
Somebody please help me out! And also what are some good methods of effectively combating oily skin? Can it ever go away?
(Don't tell me to lose weight, cause I'm in the process of doing that.. have already lost 10 lbs, skin still oily!)

I dont think its the weight as much as what you are eating. Plus if you are working out and sweating that can clog pores. And sleeping in makeup will clog your pores.
Find a soap that works good for you. Face masks are good. Some face powders even absorb oil if thats the problem. You may need some proactive or something to clear up your skin and give you a clean slate. Good Luck!!! Hope I helped some =]
