Recipe for natural and homemade hair remover?

I have moderate hair growth in arms/legs. I hate to shave. Please advise with an easy recipe for homemade hair remover that will have lasting effects. Thanks!

Ingredients

* 1 cup sugar
* Half a lemon for the juice
* 1/4 cup honey
* A little bit of Molasses if you have any like a drizzle
* Cornstarch (to powder with for tautness making it more effective)
* Something to spread the mixture with like a tongue depressor, popsicle stick, cheese spreader or spatula.
* Cotton fabric (any old thing you can find or buy some strips at a store)

Mix lemon, sugar, and honey in a bowl. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minutes, until it bubbles into a smooth consistency. I find this a lot simpler then turning on the stove, but it would be safer if you watched over the heat on the stove. If you use the stove use LOW heat. Now move away from the mixture and go do something while it cools a little down so you can touch it safely. A little bit warmer though is better though to use. Microwave it for 20 seconds if you find the need to. The NADS commercial said re heating isn’t necessary, but it’s no big deal doing so and I find it is necessary as all sugaring products do need just a little heating.

Make sure your legs or where ever you wish to place it is clean and dry. Then dust area with cornstarch so it’s more effective as it draws out oil. Spread a thin layer on your leg. Cover with a strip of fabric, and rubbing the strip the opposite way of hair growth, about 3 times.

Grab the fabric end and pull it off very quickly against the direction of the hair growth or the other way if you wish. It will hurt, but after awhile it’s a lot less painful. I’m sure you’re strong enough to withstand pain. Reheat the mix if it gets too hard to spread. This stores for a long time. I just use a vitamin E face cream container that’s plastic since that’s fairly big which costs only a buck at the dollar store. Just make sure it's clean and oil free. You could also use a glass jar as well.

BedHead Growth Spritz: Homemade Recipe

Homemade hair removal wax question?

I have found many different recipes for homemade hair removal wax, most commonly the one for sugaring. It claims that it is less painful than regular waxing, and over time can cause hair growth to stop all together due to damage of the hair follicle. My question is: Is it safe to use on the female area? It's supposed to be gentle and is made from natural ingredients, so it should be fine, right?

I have tried homemade waxing and professional wax as I am an Esthetican and feel that waxing is waxing. The only thing that is different is that some are made from sugar , they say natural ingredients cause they claim you can actually eat the wax, and then there is the professional waxing that is done in a salon which, of course, you can not eat.. I tend to like the professional wax better as it allows for a better grip, the sugary one, just makes a mess and is sticky. When you wax or tweezing your hair, your actually pulling out the hair by its root (bulb) and what happens is it will send a signal to your brain telling it that something is wrong and that another hair needs to be made. This does no damage to the hair follicle it self which is just a holding place for your hair strain so your just in essence, pulling out the hair bulb. It takes about 3 months for another one to return it its place. Professional waxing is safer for the female area because someone is doing it for you; it is hard to do that on yourself as the position is not very comfortable. If you decide you want this done, you need to let the hair grow at least 6 weeks so that you are allowing all three stages of hair growth come to the same point so you can get it all waxed at once. If you wax an area over a course of 6-7 years, your hair will eventually stop growing, but it will take some time. The ONLY way of permanent hair removal is through electrolysis. Hope this helps :)
