Henna and Chemical Hair Dye! HELPP!!?
I used Hesh Heenara on my hair about 9 months ago, and now i want to use chemical dyes on my hair. The ingredients on the henna powder i used are
mehendi leaves-36%
maka leaves-9%
shikakai fruit-5%(the rest are 5%)
amla fruit
methi seed
narangi chal
neem leaves
kumari leaves
japakusum flower
mandoor powder-4%
behda fruit-4%
kapur kachli stem-4%
brahmi leaves-3%
harde fruit-3%
chandan-2%
sugandhi dravya-?%
I'm pretty sure it's not body art quality, but would it be okay to colour my hair with a chemical dye (at a salon) now? I have had mid-back length hair since I put the henna in my hair, but now i want to cut it to shoulder length hair with layers. My hair also grows really fast, almost an inch a month. Would all the hennaed hair have grown out by now?
PS - I know that it isn't safe to use chemical dyes in already hennaed hair, but I'm confused because the powder I used only has 36% henna in it =S
Just let your hairdresser know you used a henna baced dye. As long as you're not going lighter you should be just fine.
