Herbal medications with birth control?
I know you are not supposed to take herbal medications while on birth control, but why is this? Does it alter how it works, or is it just because it thins your blood and makes you more susceptable to bleeding? I was just wondering because I have used an herbal topical medication and I noticed a few days after I started it that I had some spotting for a few days. Would that have anything to do with it or would it be unrelated? Will my bcp be less effective now?
Yes.. they do cause them to be less effective.. Soo i would use a condom along with taking the pill.. and next time you should contact your doctor before starting something new..
