Herbal Infused
Is it possible for the sun to overheat or damage a sun-infused oil just as you could on the stovetop?
Can the sun not overheat/damage a sun-infused oil just as infusing the oil on a stovetop?
I was going to make my own skin oil by infusing the herbs in the oil by the sun which is called a sun-infused oil. I know there's a quicker way to make an infused herb oil by heating the herbs in oil on the stovetop. With the stovetop method I was told it can damaged some of the oils properties so my question is:
The sun can get very hot as well so is it not possible for the sun to overheat the oil- if you can cook an egg in the sun, how is it not possible to overheat/cook your sun-infused herbal oil to where you damage the properties ?
I will most likely use first pressed COLD-PRESSED certified organic olive oil.
This response if from the physics point of view.
The heat that comes from a stovetop is a very low frequency, low energy molecular activity, while the sun's rays contain not only infrared (warming) radiation, but also much higher energy radiations: like the various UV radiation we are supposed to wear sunglasses and protective creams to protect us from..
I would actually expect the sun to do much more damage to the sensitive oils than a stovetop.

How to make an herb infused oil?
How do you make an herbal infused oil? I want to make my own Bringraj (Eclipta alba) infused oil (in either sesame or coconut oil) because it is to expensive to buy already made. Should I use the powdered form of Bringraj? I read somewhere that some infusions require undried plants.. please only informed answers, I'd hate to take advice from someone who doesnt know what they are talking about and waste twenty dollars. Thanks!
The easiest way to make an infusion is to just drop your herbs into a jar of oil. It works better if you heat the oil and herbs first.
