Feeling sooooo hungry?
My hubby and I started doing a detox diet on Sunday. It's called the Wild Rose Herbal Detox. First day I had a really really bad headache (coming off caffeine and sugar, blah!). Yesterday I was really tired and a bit hungry, and today I feel like I'm starving. I plugged my info into fitday and it looks like I have enough calories. I don't know if I should allow myself to eat when I'm hungry, or if I should just ignore my body signals for a few days (I am overweight).
Here is what I ate today:
TUESDAY
B: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1 chopped up pear, few drops of stevia
S: 1/2 cup applesauce
L: small portion of leftover elk roast, 1/2 potato, 5 steamed baby carrots
S: hard boiled egg
S: 1 rice cake with 1 tsp almond butter, cup of pepermint tea
D: 1 small pollock fillet, 1/2 cup cauliflower, 1/4 cup beans, 1 cup salad with italian dressing
S: celery
I'm eating according to the booklet I got in the detox plan. Is it normal to be extremely hungry?
It seems like you are getting enough calories and of the right kind. My guess is that your body is just used to getting more (well, too much food if you are overweight). Your stomach will shrink, you just have to try your best to stick to your diet plan!
Good luck.. I know this part sucks!
