This little known herb has a long history of shamanic uses. It can be smoked or drank as a tea to induce vivid and intense dream states. According to MacDougall, 'sufficiency of dose taken is said to be indicated by a sense of repose, when the person 'hears his own heart and pulse beats.' Amongst the Chontal medicine-men, Calea Zacatechichi is called thle-pela-kanoor 'leaf of god' and is valued 'for the clarification of the senses,' 'visions seen in dreams,' and as a 'secret plant' to induce hallucinations. Calea Zacatechichi is a well known folk medicine in Mexico, utilized especially for use in treating intermittent fevers. Alkaloids have not been found in the plant. Its medicinal reputation seems to be attributable mainly to a bitter principle, the precise nature of which has not yet been determined, and an aromatic constituent. 'Further ethnobotanical studies of this interesting plant are indicated, and more thorough chemical investigations, using modern techniques, may uncover an hallucinogenic principle.' (U.N. Bulletin on Narcotics 1970 issue 1) Organically grown, dried, chopped leaves. |

How to Remove Toxins from your Cells, Part 2
do u know a natural way to color hair? like using herbs or something that is not chemical and harmful?
my hair is dark brown, and i would really like a chestnuty kinda effect to it without resorting to color.
Hi there
If you want to use natural herbs for a little highlight you could use chamomile tea and then sit in the sun for an hour or so.
Lemon juice also works but I think that chamomile is your best chose.
Hope this helps.
