i swim and im trying to grow my hair out?
hey.
im a swimmer and i swim 4 days a week with a swimmers cap on. whenever i swim i shower like 15 min after i get out of the water. i use special swimmers shampoo and conditioner that some of my friends use. (Malibu C formula)
and after i shower i use a deep conditioning leave-in conditioner. but even though i use all of this my hair still gets dry and the ends of my hair get blonder and drier. i know im supposed to cut my hair every 2 months but if i wanna grow my hair longer then how is cutting it often gonna help it? by the way now my hair is about 3 inches longer than my shoulder height. and my mom wanted me to go get my hair cut nxt week and i want to cuz i want my hair to be healthy but i still want it long. any tips/solutions?

Just get it trimmed. That way the ends are removed but, it's not like you are getting it chopped. So just ask for a trim with like a half an inch or something.

Forgot to mention I also used the Carols Daughter. I dont remember how moisturising it was because the PROTEIN it contains made my hair harrrrdddddd. My hair seems to be sensitive to protein and I used the whole range of Carols daughter – shampoo, deep treatment, leave – in and then healthy hair butter – and all of those listed contain protein so my only memory from experience is the hardness of my hair not any moisture infusion
