Hair Topical Is EMLA, a topical anaesthesia, safe to put all over my legs for my laser hair removal?
I have used EMLA more than 10 times already in my body but in smaller areas like the face, neck, and underarm. I'm not sure if it is safe to use in half of my body for my laser hair removal.
NO! It is not safe at all!!!! I've seen shows and read things about people putting large amounts of topical anesthetic creams on their body and dying. Here's a quote from a laser hair removal website:
"Avoid anesthetic creams or gels prior to treatment. Topical anesthetics are largely ineffective for laser hair removal, and application of anesthetic creams or ointments over large areas of the body has caused severe reactions and even death. With rare exceptions, Laser hair removal treatment should NOT be so uncomfortable to require anesthesia."

If putting topical anaesthesia before a laser hair removal is not recommended, how can i best prepare for it?
I already paid for laser hair removal: whole legs, underarm, upper lip, and brazilian bikini. But now I'm scared to do them because I read that topical anaesthesia is not very safe to put on large areas of the body. I"m worried most with the legs and the bikini areas as my pain tolerance is very low. Could you describe the pain in the leg and bikini area please...
