I need some help with my thinning hair.?
could you recommend something to help thicken my hair, I am a brown skin person, you can say black American, and my hair is very long. by very thin, dont have body. I used to have natural hair for about four years, then i decided to relax/perm them. now i have regrets. my hair is getting long but very thin. now i am thinking of cutting them. should i cut them or could you recommend some treatment / thickener to help me.

There could be a few reasons as to why your hair is thinning.
1) Are you taking medication?
Certain medications tend to cause your hair to fall out. There's stress, unhealthy eating, not enough vitamins.
2) Is there a professional relaxing your hair?
You have to make sure the relaxer is not overlapping hair that was previously relaxed when applying it to your new growth. That can cause it to melt and break-off. You can determine if it's the relaxer making your hair thin if you have lots of broken off hair.
3) Are you also coloring your hair?
Your hair is taking a lot of damage with the relaxer and if you're adding color on top of that, deep conditioning your hair won't help it get back healthy.
4) Are you deep conditioning your hair after relaxers with hot oil treatments or cholesterol once a week or at least twice a month?
5) The natural texture of your hair can also determine if relaxers are suitable for your hair or not. If you don't necessarily need a relaxer (due to coarse, seriously curly and tangly hair) then you should just settle for press-n-curls. If your hair is cotton like, relaxers are not good for you, keep it natural.
Black people NEED to brush their hair AND scalp! You cannot stimulate blood cells for growth or release natural oil onto your hair if you are not brushing your hair from scalp to ends every day. Please get a boar bristle brush to do so!

How do I get rid of volume?
I have curly hair. I have found products that have gotten rid of the frizz but I have SO much volume in my hair. My hair is just so BIG. I need something to weigh my hair down. It seems like most products these days are made NOT to weigh hair down but I really need to weigh mine down. As the day goes on, my hair just gets bigger and bigger. Are there any hair thickeners out there or something that weighs hair down? I'm mostly black but part white so my hair is really dry also. I think that is why my hair gets so big. Any suggestions?
i'm not relaxing my hair. i really don't like straight hair anymore. it's a pain to have to worry about it getting wet all the time. i used to relax it but it wasn't really that great for my hair.
