Any other ways to grow long and healthy hair?
Here's the thing. I'm African American, which means my hair doesn't have the same amount of oil and nutrients as Caucasians and other races have. I've gotten weave plenty of times. Lots of people have different ideas for a weave, so let me explain what I always do. I braid my own hair with the fake hair so the hair is hidden. No gluing. No sewing. No corn rolls. Just braiding for a few inches and then leaving the rest unbraided. I hope you understand so far. My hair used to be really short (2 inches) due to severe split ends, and then I got weave, which didn't miraculously make it longer. It was the fact that I wasn't messing with my hair(pulling, brushing, etc.), which irritates the roots and scalp. My hair has been growing, and well, I just wanted to know if there were any other reasons why my hair is growing, and is there any other ways to make my hair grow both longer and healthier?

try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair

ok this is a little bit embarrassing lol but I have anorexia and I'm really really really trying to get better.......... anyways (this is the embarrassing part!!!) since i got sick i grew a layer of hair on my body (mainly on my back tummy and arms) I think it is called lanugo or something.... when i was in hospital all the docs and nurses said it would go away when i was healthy and getting the right nutrients BUT i have been out of hospital for about 2 months (was in there for like 7 weeks) and docs said they want me to gain about 6 more kilos by the end of the year but for now they are happy and say im going really well........but guess what .... THE HAIR HAS NOT GONE lol its sooooooo embarrassing and i hate it soooo much does anyone know how long/if ever it will take to go away????

I'm pleased to read you are out of hospital and doing well I hope. Yes this hair will go away as long as you keep to a healthy weight and keep up with nutritious meals. The hair grew because you did not have fat to protect and warm your body...it can take 6 months or more to go away. Hair grows in cycles of about 4 months I think so give it time and it will fall out. It proabbly has already started to its just you cant notice it yet.
