Hair Loss Capsules
Can I take multivitamin & vitamin E capsule at the same time? How long should I continue taking multivitamin?
I'm 18+ in age and doing 4 hours daily exercises with low fat and low carbohydrate dieting.
I take multivitamin everyday. I don't want to face hair fall problem and Anemia which occurred before in my previous attempt of weight loss.
So I take multivitamin Proviten A-Z everyday.
But I'm not sure how long to continue. Someone told me to have a 1 month gap after 1 month dose then again take them for another another 1 month another the process should continue. IS IT TRUE??
My multivitamin tablet contains 30 IU of vitamin E. I need more vitamin E to maintain my hair. SO CAN I TAKE VITAMIN E CAPSULE OF 400 IU PER DAY BESIDES TAKING MULTIVITAMIN AT THE SAME TIME??
IS VITAMIN E IS ENOUGH TO PREVENT HAIR FALL?? OR SHOULD I TAKE VITAMIN B COMPLEX TOO??
IF I GET ANEMIA AGAIN, CAN I TAKE MULTIVITAMIN, VITAMIN E AND IRON SUPPLEMENT TABLET AT THE SAME TIME??
Well, there are a few aspects to answering this.
Yes, it's generally safe to take 430 IU of Vitamin E (400 is the normal recommendation) as long as you don't get a lot of Vitamin E from other sources and as long as you don't have a high amount of Vitamin E stored up in your body already (which would typically just happen from taking too much E before).
You don't need 1 month on and 1 month off with Vitamins unless it's a megadose to correct a deficiency and a doctor has prescribed that. Some herbs may be better like that, but the Vitamins and minerals are required daily nutrients... that would be like saying you have to stop eating every other month.
As a side note, insufficient nutrition in your daily diet can cause unhealthy hair and could contribute to it falling out. You may want to check with a nutritionist to see if you are getting enough intake of enough nutrients to stay healthy enough for it not to negatively affect your hair as well.
Vitamin E is good for the health of the skin and has benefits for the hair, but it's not the sole nutrient that would prevent your hair falling out... if it was, there wouldn't be such a problem with baldness in the world. If your hair is falling out (whether from Anemia or anything else), you need to check with a doctor that can investigate the problem and find out why it's falling out to find out what would stop it.
That being said, Biotin (which is a B Vitamin) and Silica are very good for hair health as well, so you could add good doses of those to your daily regimen. 5 mg is a good dose of each of those, but you would probably find the Silica listed as Horsetail (a natural source of Silica, so make sure it lists how much Silica is in each capsule).
If you get Anemia again, you should probably take extra Iron, but I would check with a doctor to see how much extra Iron you need (and for how long) to correct that deficiency.
