my hair normally grows about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch every month. i know there is no magical serum, but are there any ways to reasonably boost the rate of hair growth? i've heard that Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner helps, is that true?

but pretty thick on sides and back.
going to buy some hair growth serum. and BIOTIN. However, if I take BIOTIN will it just make my hair grow LONGER or THICKER or BOTH?
If it gets longer thats cool, I want Chace Crawford hair. However I don't want it to be LONG AND THIN HAIR I want SHAGGY THICK HAIR.

Though there is little "hard" evidence that Biotin really works, many people I know say that it helps their hair and nails grow faster, makes their hair thicker, and gives them healthier/stronger nails. Biotin supplements are sometimes recommended as a natural counter to hair loss, but I've never heard anything as far as how well it worked.
So, it's definitely worth trying. But I wouldn't take too high of a dosage. Some supplements boast "super potency" and contain over 5000mg, which is too much. So stick with one that contains about 1000mg.
