Hair Growth Comb
hair growth and dreads q's????
hey right now my hair is a month old im 13 and a male and black. My hair is a month old as i stated before. I use the wild growth hair oil so my hair can get at least 3 inches in 3 or 4 months b4 skool ends, i also used the 360 waves when i wanted waves but stop and they are still and i heard that kind of hair is going to be hard to lock .but i have a few questions too.
1.) Will the wild growth hair oil work?
2.)what or where can i find a nylon for my baby dread when i get them?
3.)how will i know when they lock up?
4.)where can i get a dread comb?
5.)can megatek help my hair grow faster if where can i find some?
6.)how to get rid of partly 360 waves with a month growth of hair?
7.)what all the thing i need for dreading except for dread wax what can i use for an substitute?
PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION 1-7 LIKE PLEASE.

Hello there, congratulations on starting your locks an I hope they are a positive experience for you,
1~ I did alot of searching to try to find the exact ingredients in this stuff, while I couldn't get them all i know it contains Jojoba oil, essential vitamins like D, E, calcium and phosphorous, these amongst others will be beneficial to your hair, in addition I'm not sure if it contains it but the B vitamin Biotin is another water soluable vitamin that would help your hair grow,
that being said, the WGHO is in no way detrimental to your hair's health so I'd recommend its use until about 2weeks within starting your locks then stop use of all conditioning soaps and cut back on how often your lather your hair so the scalp becomes more accustomed to producing less oil to replace what the body produces every time you soak and lather your scalp.
2~ when you say nylon can you mention what you will be using it for? are you using it in conjunction with your locking method by sewing it into the dreads to be removed later? or crocheting it to create something to wear your locks in?
either way you can get it at a crafts store.
3~locks can take time to feel like true locks, I smeared my in wax niavely in the early months and they didn't feel like true locks till about 6-7months (i stopped after 4months) now at almost 12months they feel like tightened locks of hair, with a hint of softness from the shampoo i use, they begin to change alot throughout the early months and are an ever changing texture at first until they feel more consistent as time goes on,
4~a dread comb doesn't have to be anything lavish, a simple metal comb will do, the DHHQ comb i used was easily substituted my a metal flea comb from a pet store for about 12$ less and produced the same results, much to my frustration of having spent the $ on a kit.
5~ this was another where I had to look up the ingredients, the keratin proteins, and amino acids contained in this are again largely beneficial to the growth of hair, I don't think I would recommend its use once starting your locks tho like the WGHO.
6~to be honest, this won't count against you at all, there are others with far more harder hair texture to lock *think course asian hair* with the combing you'll be doing it is unlikely this will prevent your locks from forming.
7~ ALOE VERA, I've known other people that had locks for years that had your hair texture and never touched beeswax and used this for its conditioning properties. it also smoothes over the hair.

does hot water stop hair growth?
When I wash my hair (every other day) sometimes I condition and when I do that I leave it in then I rinse it out and for a split second use hot water than I put in my hir oil and let it air dry (I wake up early and don't wanna damage my hair with a blowdryer) everything goes well After it drys I run a comb through it (I let it dry to maximize puff) my hair looks great and everything goes well but I was reading that heat can skrew up hair growth (just makin sure)
also does this sound like a good hair care regimene
no I dont use like boiling water just hot enough for the lotion to dissolve so it's not greasy
first of all my cousin is doing a hair dressing course and hot water doesn't cause damaged hair to maintain healthy hair though, when your in the shower use the tips of your fingers and massage your scalp, this will generate good hair growth and also keep your hair healthy its an alright hair regimene though it isnt necessary to condition your hair
