Hair Growth...No I am not Losing hair...I just want it Longer?
Ok I recently got my hair cut to my shoulders I had it like really long before Now I find myself wanting my long hair back but its gonna take at least a year or two to grow it Back I think. I have heard that Brushing yourr hair a lot will increase the Growth Speed. But I am not sure. is there any other remedy to gaining Longer hair faster, Please Help. Thanx

Just time, that's all. Brushing and massaging your scalp will bring blood flow up to your hair follicles, which would make it grow a tiny bit faster, but nothing you'll notice overnight or anything! Make sure you eat healthy foods, so it will stay healthy. And, make sure that you keep the split ends trimmed off!

Can you help me with my hair growth plan?
Ok so I had medium-long hair but then I stopped taking care of it and invested in the short/straight look since i have always had long-wavy hair. Well, I'm ready to get my old hair back now in about a year i want approx. 7-10 inches. I figure I eat healthy, lots of protein/fruits veggies. viatmin e for hair growth, wash my hair with viatmin e- shampoo/conditioner, use a natural healthy hair oil, brush/comb it everday, stay away from heat sources aka flat iron, blow dryer and massage my scalp for 10-15 minutes when I wash it once a week, and get my hair trimmed every 8 weeks anymore tips?

Definitely only brush it when you need to, and use a brush wide wide-spaced bristles. Brushing can break the cuticle and is actually bad for your hair, not good for it.
Take a prenatal vitamin, as it has lots of vitamin e, a, c, and folic acid. Also, take a selenium supplement. Try to do a cold rinse before you get out of the shower, as this will help seal up the cuticle and protect the hair.
Also, while shampooing once a week is good, you may want to condition more often in between.

Hi Yasmin, I agree it is an issue many women face and a frustrating one at that. I think many women expect hair growth and 'normality' again when taking Thyroxine but sadly it is not so easy but I would say don't give up trying. GP's are unhelpful at times and don't emphasise diet enough. Good luck and I hope you find positive results like I did. x
