hair growth...................?
my hair is broke off im going to have it cut off all even then wear braids and weaves for a while until my hair gets back even and healthy. is there anything that can help it grow like pills,oils...etc.
There are things you can take for faster hair growth. Eating right, excercising as hair health starts from within. Some pills like vitamins and Biotin, Hair growth creams like Mega Tek. Massaging scalp daily helps with blood circulation. Shampooing hair weekly clears scalp pores. But the best way to get hair to grow? Retaining length so I will focus more on that. If you want your hair to grow long and be healthy.
1st. No more relaxers. Ever. If you don't believe me, how many people do you know who have waist length or even bra strap length hair with relaxers? Not many, relaxers only make managing hair harder not easier. And that doesn't even take into account the health, scalp and hair damage they cause. The truth about relaxers:

2nd. This means you are transitioning. This doesn't mean you have to wear your hair nappy, though nappy is very beautiful but it does mean new growth will start to come in. If you feel too tempted to relax it, you pprobably should wear weave. Either way it will give your hair a break from constant styling. Braids and buns are also good. Anything where the hair is constrained and the ends are protected will help it grow.
3rd. Before you go under the weave though your hair needs some babying and treatment so it will be healthier when you get out. Do some deep conditioning and protein treatments for a few weeks. Aphogee is a good protein treatment. Focus on your ends.
4th While you are transitioning from the relaxer you can wear weave, flat iron new growth, or just immediately chop off the damaged relaxed hair. Either way the relaxed hair has to eventually go since you will notice breakage at the point of natural and relaxed. Whether you choose to rock your natural texture or flat iron it, either way hair will be healthier than relaxing and then flat ironing, which is like pouring salt in a wound.
Hair grows an average of a 1/2'' an month so in two months you will likely only see an inch of growth but keep babying your ends and keep at the following tips and you will eventually see longer, stronger, healthier hair.
First, you need to address breakage if you want your hair to grow. Breakage is very common on Black hair whether relaxed or natural for different reasons. Both go back to ignorance about our hair's needs and treating it like straight hair. The best advice I can give you is to baby your ends and your hair will grow. If your hair:
(Wet or Dry) Stretches slightly/returns to original length /no breaking= you are balanced just stick with maintaining!
(Wet ot Dry) Stretching a little more than normal then breaks= more protein
(Wet or Dry)Stretching, stretching, stretching/no breakage yet= more protein
(Wet)- Weak, gummy, mushy, limp hair= more protein
(Wet or Dry) Very little/no stretching then breakage= more moisture
(Dry) Rough/tough/hard/tangly/brittle hair= more moisture
Once you know if your hair is healthy or not you can go from there.
Overall it doesn't matter how long you wear weave and other protective styles if you go right back to flat ironing constantly, relaxing and treating hair badly. Keep up with good habits.
1. Don't flat iron more than once weekly, (though monthly or never would be better). Try roller setting for a straight look. It doesn't require heat. Do not relax.
2. Do weekly or biweekly deep conditioning and protein treatments, focusing on ends. Wear a satin cap to bed or at least sleep on a satin pillowcase.
3. Do protective styles regularly (buns, braids, weaves). With Black hair if you want long healthy hair you can't wear your hair out every day
4. Shampoo and condition hair weekly, do not believe the myth that water will dry out your hair. There is nothing more moisturizing than water, just choose a non-drying shampoo. Keep hair moisturized with leave in conditioners and moisturizers.
5. Detangle hair gently, only when wet and loaded with a slippery conditioner and a wide tooth comb. Go from bottom to top.
