How can I increase my hair growth rate?
I have been using vitamin supplements that I got from Healthy Hair Plus (healthyhairplus.com). I have also been using jojabo oil in the shower (I use it on my skin as well, and it has really helped my skin). I have emu oil, too, but I am never sure when to use it!! I use it at night because it makes my hair ridiculously oily, and sometimes I put some in a couple hours before I wash my hair in the shower. Is there a limit on how many vitamins or supplements you should take? I have a protein-enriched shampoo and conditioner, emu oil shampoo and conditioner, a follicle cleanse shampoo, and a follicle stimulator. Why do hot oil treatments work for the hair? Also, when should I put oils in my hair? When it is wet or dry? Should I leave them in or rinse them out?

Reinvigorating Dead Hair Follicles May Be The Key To Reversing Hair Loss
Could reinvigorating dead hair follicles be the key to reversing balding? A bold question to say the least but one worth pondering none the less. Can it be done? The answer is yes. Will it be easy? The answer is no.
The average person loses between 50 and 100 scalp hair each day most of which are replaced. As a general rule as long as hair replacement keeps up with hair loss you will have a full head of hair. But as we age things often don’t quite go as planned. Our joints probably aren’t as supple as they once were, we may see a few more wrinkles, and yes, dead hair follicles on the scalp will lead to balding.
But while joint and skin health are a topic for another day, how we might be able to reinvigorate dead hair follicles is our focus and just maybe, with a little luck, we can accomplish this.
While some follicles may die for no obvious reason generally there is an underlying cause. It could be androgen hormone accumulation, scalp injuries or burns, lack of blood flow, or even a bacterial or fungal infection of the scalp. Often times the severity and type of follicle damage will determine whether dead hair follicles can be reinvigorated. For instance follicle damage from burns, that has resulted in scarring, very rarely can be reversed.
Now let’s move on and explore a few ways to bring those dead follicles back to life.
*Minoxidil: Minoxidil (Rogaine) works by enlarging the follicle and stimulating dormant hairs to grow. Currently most experts believe it is the best option for bringing dead hair follicles back to life.
*Essential oils: Certain plants oils such as soybean, lavender, wheat germ, and bay have shown to be effective in stimulating follicles when combined with scalp massage.
*Jojoba oil: Used in Mexico for hundreds of years, it is massaged into the scalp, and advocates of jojoba oil claim it is highly effective at reopening dead hair follicles, thus producing new growth.
*Aloe: Aloe vera is known as a natural pore cleanser that also balances scalp pH levels. When combined with essential oils it just might be worth a try, especially if you are struggling to reinvigorate those dead hair follicles.
*Exercise: While most naturopathic doctors suggest exercise as a tool to reverse hair loss there doesn’t seem to be much evidence to support its effectiveness. Nevertheless, it couldn’t hurt, especially when combined with one or more of the treatments above.
What Next? There are currently a handful of hair re-growth products (specially formulated for both men and women) which have been proven effective both in blocking harmful hormones and bringing the all important dead hair follicles back to life.
