A protein shake after workout???
hi guys, you know the way after you work out it is called "the power hour" meaning this is when your muscles need protein the most, and suck as much as they can in that hour. Well i to be honest dont have too much time to eat alot, and my friend told me that if i have a protein shake after workout it is the best as this is when your muscles need them most. Also one the day after. Is this true or rubbish. I do eat quite well but not like i should to become xtra big, What time should i take the protein shake for max growth and how many grams in the shake?? 50grams??? or before?? any other useful info would be great!!
Since it takes time for your food to digest, I would say eat/drink it before (right before) you work out, or a little bit at a time during the breaks within your workout that way your body is getting a constant supply while you are working it 
That's what I try to do.
During or right b4 your workout try to get protein, potassium, and vitamin D and B's. That's what I hear is a good thing So you don't feel as sore, and your bones get the benefit since it combines with the proteins. I'm assuming the B's are for energy. Oh and of course still drink plenty of water before during and after your workout sessions.
